What Can’t iClone Do? The Missing Features: The Most Requested Features In iClone

IClone: my most wanted features. Availability of Metahuman dummies with full ‘cc4 extended’ faces. Support in the timeline for multiple clip tracks, with various blend options for clips (Inc overall weight, mute by body part, head only, Visemes only, etc). Support for clip muting (motion and expression) in the timeline. Support for multiple sequences in a single iClone project. Support for transferring camera switch information track to camera cuts in Unreal Sequencer via IClone live link. Ragdoll character physics. Support for a “100% zero overlap collision system” that respects human body parts (ie. body parts never puncture themselves or clothing or floors or objects or other humans). A guided automatic clothing fit process with no poke through / mesh breakage.

Most requested missing features in iClone (for virtual filmmaking)

As of iclone 8.3 in august 2023, the following are features that would be helpful in iClone for cinematic production:

‘Mega Projects’ – projects changing to contain multiple timelines and sets (to make filmmaking possible)

Live link sending camera switch data to sequencer

Multiple clip tracks per character, with layer options
